2022 National Charcuterie Excellence Awards

2022 National Charcuterie Excellence Awards

Excellent result for Eurostyle with 6 Gold and 2 Silver Medals from our 8 total entries.

The Australian Meat Industry Council (AMIC) is the voice of Australian businesses in the crucial and complex post-farmgate meat industry. This year they launched the Australian Charcuterie Excellence Awards alongside Australian Pork Limited, Cold Xpress and William Angliss Institute.

These awards recognise products of quality and excellence for the Australian smallgoods industry. Judges include fleischmeisters, award-winning and celebrity chefs, artisan smallgoods makers, and industry legends.

“We are seeing that there is competition in the industry pushing up the quality. This is a business where the customer can taste every shortcut. Precision, professionalism and respect for tradition are essential to achieve excellence.” Says German-trained fleischermeister (master butcher) and owner of Oakwood Smallgoods in Castlemaine, Ralf Finke.

Fellow judge and Sydney chef Alex Herbert adds, “These products talk to young consumers. Smallgoods and charcuterie are about old techniques such as fermentation, and zero waste – using every bit of an animal. They are highly nutritious, and the sector is so diverse people can eat their way around it without getting bored.”

Eurostyle Smallgoods Butcher entered in a total of 8 product categories and is proud to take home 6 Gold and 2 Silver medals. Our hard work and dedication to tradition have paid off yet again, and we cannot wait for everyone to try our award-winning meats!
